Kate has been investing, restoring and renovating historic housing for over 30 years in Brooklyn, Chicago and Greenwich. In 2020, she joined Berkshire Hathaway Home Services New England in Greenwich, Connecticut where she has lived for over two decades.   Born in California, but raised in Brazil, Mexico and Spain, Kate speaks Spanish, French, and Portuguese.  After graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 1978 she embarked on an international banking career that spanned fifteen years with Philadelphia National Bank, and as VP of Latin American Asset Trading at Merrill Lynch, First Chicago and NMB.   While raising her four children, Kate started her own software company -Student Employment Software LLC – which provides schools, municipalities and organizations with branded platforms that support online employment and internship programs for young people.  The software systems Kate created with her husband Jim, are currently used by in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.   In 2010 her company won the highly coveted US Department of Education Small Business Innovation and Research Award and in 2011 Student Employment Software LLC was presented with Certificates of Recognition from the Governor and Senator of Connecticut for outstanding services to the State and Nation.   Kate brings high level business and negotiating skills to BHHSNE and a passion and love for real estate and community life.
